Recruitment Specialist/NY

JOB PURPOSE:? This position will utilize and leverage a variety of sourcing applications, including but not limited to; applicant tracking system, cold calling, relationship building, job boards, job fairs, college/university alumni and career centers to achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating potential job candidates for our 3 NY locations.


  • Establishes recruiting requirements by evaluating and understanding open requisitions, organizational plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.

  • Builds applicant sources and database by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, internet sites, etc.

  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.

  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; cold calling, using newsgroups, job sites, etc.

  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.

  • Coordinates and arranges schedules for hiring managers to interview candidates.

  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.

  • Improves organization attractiveness and branding.

  • Monitors job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

  • Applies "5 Star" customer service approach in all aspects of job.

  • Actively supports Wingate's commitment to providing "5 Star" service on all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

  • Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

?POSITION REQUIREMENTS:?College degree preferred. 2-3 years of recruitment and interviewing (preferably in a healthcare setting). Excellent communication skills required, including oral, written, interpersonal and networking. Supports Diversity. Knowledgeable on Employment Law. Strong organizational and project management skills. Experience with Applicant Tracing Systems preferred. Strong computer skills.?

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
