Inventory Control Coordinator

Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York
Summary:
This position will provide clerical support relating to the receipt, issue, accuracy, and location of all Supplies in the Materials Handling Department for assigned facility(s).
Run daily stock report, weekly cycle counts, place orders with vendors for supplies and following up on orders to make sure that the order has been received by the vendor (daily).
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and accuracy of Storeroom inventory by doing daily walk through and comparing low shelf counts to PMM inventory listed.
Fill in all needed information on General Stores Requisition when a Unit calls down for an item.
Maintain list of Call down orders by unit and report them to Manager of Distribution.
Expedite supplies with Purchasing to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
Maintain lead-time / safety stock level changes for all Storeroom items.
Run a Stock Status report daily and check for errors and forward to Manager of Distribution Services.
Provides accurate documentation of all department transactions.
Report any item shortage to Manager of Distribution or Supervisor Materials Handling Places orders with our vendors to ensure that all supply levels needed are maintained by doing the following:
Faxed orders are completed by checking Fax server daily.
EDI order conformations Phoned orders by placing conformation number on purchase order.
Follow up with vendors on shipping dates of supplies (Back ordered items).
Run PO detail report weekly for open and partial orders.
Check stock for expiration dates during weekly cycle counts.
Enter material receipts and issues into computer system.
Maintain and Model the Nuvance Health Values (Personal, Imaginative, Agile, Connected).

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in logistics or supply chain.
Preferred (3) years' experience.
Minimum of one (1) year healthcare experience.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Proficient in data entry.
