8 million children from New York City's underserved communities.
Young people also participate in year-round leadership, career exploration and educational programs.
In the summer, The Fund operates 2 core programs, our Friendly Town host family program and sleep away camps.
We hire staff working on the ground in the programs and staff to support these programs ie maintenance, communication.
While most require living at camp, we do have some spring and summer nonresidential hybrid positions.
Camping:
The Fresh Air Fund operates 6 sleep-away camps on two separate properties in upstate New York.
Our philosophy is the same, but each camp serves a different age group and population with their own distinct culture.

Camp Junior is located in Harriman State Park.
Camp Junior:
coed, ages 8-15 Residential Positions include Assistant directors, nurses, CIT Directors, general counselors, support services among many more! We also hire non- residential positions as well.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
